Etotépé has MSc in Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Management and a PhD in Conservation Biology. She is currently a researcher and lecturer at the School of Natural Resources Management, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor, Benin Republic, West Africa. Her research interests, apart from lion conservation, include endangered species monitoring & conservation, human-wildlife conflicts, illegal wildlife trade and protected areas management. She uses her research to feed her lectures and train the young generation of African conservationists in her region. She is member of several specialist groups and commissions of IUCN and has co-authored more than 40 publications.
